The day we walked Dan Shui was a wet wet day. It started with a morning drizzle which turned into a rainy night. I don't like grey skies...

Sightseeing along the journey from Taipei to Hua Lian was something out of the ordinary. I like the sea, the mountains and the cool wind. The road was bumpy though. To sit at the back of the car was even bumpier. Luckily I had my breakfast. Too many hours of travelling on the rocky road with an empty stomach probably will cause me gastric discomfort, then I would be kept 'busily unwell' the whole day instead of enjoying the great sceneries.

Ming Su stay was fun. Uncle reminded us to let down the curtains at night and gave us a morning wake-up ‘knock’. “Hey xiao peng you, Breakfast time!” he uttered with his cheery voice. It isn’t everyday that a Singaporean could wake up to the sound of chicks chirping and the sight of lavenders blossoming. It was an experience worth tasting, even though insects and bugs were EVERYWHERE.

We bought pineapple tarts from Hua Lian, boxes and boxes of goodies, and on the way back to Jiu Fen we stopped to have our lunch. Uncle couldn’t get a parking lot for his cab right outside the eatery and I was puzzled why he was so persistent. Was he worried that his car would be stolen?

Later on, while our heads were still dazed from the afternoon heat and the napping during the car ride, he said he had our boxes of tarts at the boot of his car and those newly bought goodies shouldn’t be exposed to the heat of the sun. That was why he insisted to park his car under the shelther of the eatery... such a genuine and considerate man, I'm gonna miss him.

The person who knows me inside out, is the person I least expected her to be. Thank you, cause I know I can always count on her to listen and then give the bluntest, yet absolutely honest and practical reply.

Sometimes explanation is not required. Sometimes just a simple sentence could make us feel understood, like a snap of fingers.

"I told you I know you. Secretarial work just isn't your cup of tea."
And yes, you are right

I made it a point to comment on movies I have watched. I guess it is an old habit.

Today I caught Ip Man 2 on the big screen. Excellent action choreography with successful touch of humor. Good movie, but not great. Having watched Ip Man 1 and highly recommended it to my friends, I pinned high hope for the story plot of its sequel... and then towards the end of this sequel, I saw little trace of 'Huo Yuan Jia' instead.

Still, the fighting scene is worth spending money on.

Count down 3 days to Zhen birthday. Jun suggested having our lunch at Hot Tomato. I'm glad she did or I would have missed out the yummilicous mushroom cream soup. As usual, our gathering was filled with lame jokes and great laughs. I love the gals!

This realization hit me - If you loathe talking about your work to families and friends then you probably hate your job, alot.

Trouble begins when a problematic couple stop quarreling, and when a angry worker stop complaining...

I am lucky to have this friend of mine who is the 'Dinner Planner' of our group. Today we were brought to yet another cosy eat-out place at Tanjong Katong. I love the tom yam pasta and the chicken thigh with mushroom sauce. I love the animated logo of the cute little girl with round face and how the interior decor revives my childhood memories...

We had yummy food today at TCC, thanks to the pocket of Miss Blunt. Bringe eating, as always, makes us happy.

I'm starting a new job tomorrow. Something different. Something new. Something that scares me a little.

But life needs a bit of ups and downs to be exciting and colourful. Confidence comes with practise and positiveness. I will get by, because my ego doesn't allow me to be timid...

I can't sing and I'm not thin, but I think we do have some common ground after reading this article.

No dancers. No superstar special guest. (In fact, the apearance of the special guest was quite a disappointment). For a non-fan of Mr Hsiao, some might find the concert a wee bit plain. Me? I'm not a hard-core fan but tonight I was completely allured and mesmerized by his impressive voice, his humor, his humbleness, his everything. When he started performing my all-time favourite song 'Desperado' with his drums, I have decided every moment spent hearing him sings shouldn't be distracted by or wasted on video-recording. This guy can REALLY sing well. Almost three hours of non-stop entertainment. I melted.

Thanks Jam. Thank you for bringing us such quality, sincere (and funny) live performance. I enjoyed it simply because you genuinely enjoyed yourself on the big stage and shown us your best. Words alone couldn't describe how good this is. I'm glad I went.

There wasn't much of a need for dancers and special guest anyway. The concert was almost a full-house. As a new comer in the music industry, Mr Rock simply rocks!

It suddenly dawned on me that the journey of life sometimes feels pretty much like riding a bicycle. Because of various factors, there are bound to be some riders who pedal faster than the others. Because of certain reasons, there will be riders who push too hard trying to overtake each other...

And only by keeping to your very own pace, understanding your limits and strengths, then can you travel further and see clearer. Bad weathers, little children, skateboarders, roller bladers, tree branches, pebbles, they are merely unavoidable barriars.

Despite the afternoon rain, Miss Blunt and me cycled at the beach today. I'm glad we found the 'Couple Trees'.

Hot Summer Days. Five very simple, short, sweet stories that reflected some of our daily life. One in particular that even managed to touched me.

Guess we all need movies like this once in a while. For a moment let us forget about stunning choreography and special effects from the blockbusters. This simplicity is worth watching, especially on a lazy afternoon when the weather is equally HOT.

Happy Chinese New Year and Valentine Day!

And who did I spend this special day with? Ta ta... my beloved cousie~

Baking is an interest. When people starts to encourage me to develop it into something else, perhaps for future sake, I'm suddenly getting a little stressed up.

No, I'm still not ready to live and breathe with baking 24/7. I can't accept a life without baking, on the other hand, I can't accept a life without music, fashion and entertainment.

In short, I'm greedy. I guess at the very end I can only be jack of all trades, master of none.

I'm charmed by this not-so-good-looking and not-so-good-at-talking man.

And so I have decided, his very first concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 13th March shall also be my very first live concert experience. Go, Jam.

I have been hating meetings, lectures, classes - anything that requires a group of people to sit in a very quiet room for a period of time...

Because my stomach grumbles even after eating. It is so very embarrassing at times. It gets louder after i drink water or beverages.

So dinner for my last few lessons were a piece of bread. Needless to say by the time lessons ended at 10pm, my mind was all about food and SNACKS.

Yen bought me to a pretty little place at Tangong Pagar to have our mini ice cream milkshakes during lunch hours. And so she drank her cookies & cream and I sipped my chocolate truffle in a cosy little corner of the empty shop while the owner sat at the counter reading his book. Jazz music, cute ambience, melt in your mouth milkshakes, I'm so going to get fatter but I don't care.

After more than 3 years of relationship with Motorola K1, I have decided to dump it for 'someone' with surname Sony Ericsson, who is also younger and fairer. This new 'guy' could take better pictures with it's 8.1 megapixel camera and also has a louder, clearer sound audio.

That was it. I have decided 'he' would be the right one for me at least for the next 2 years. Oh, did i mention 'he' likes to wear white 365 days a year without changing?

On our very first date, 'he' took a picture of my cute grandpa to prove his 'love' for me. How thoughtful.

I'm cleaning and cleaning, throwing and throwing...

It's like starting anew, and knowing that I am getting closer to a fresh start makes me feel better.
